As part of a reconstruction project that incorporates elements from other archives into ASICS archives to create new designs, the GEL-KAYANO 5 RE has been released, incorporating elements of the GEL-KAYANO TRAINER into the GEL-KAYANO 5 OG. By removing some of the stitching from parts, the shoe is intentionally left in an unfinished state, embodying the reconstruction.
